Bill continues in his role as Director of Operations, which encompasses three areas: stewardship, communications, and daily office administration. While these sound like mundane tasks, they are all necessary to keep an organization running well and help keep missionaries on the field. He serves the senders and the sent in these ways.
In day-to-day operations, he runs the station (office) and Hospitality House, which proved quite challenging this year because the property experienced a sewer issue that caused a two-inch blackwater backup in both buildings. Since then, Bill has been working with county officials, the insurance company, and contractors to mitigate and restore the property. Remodeling is ongoing even as I write this. We are praying that the properties will be fully restored by mid-January.
Financially, he onboards new missionaries and works closely with the mission’s financial services provider, Cedarstone. He endeavors to serve all who come in contact with MissioSERVE well. We are expecting great things from God these last weeks of the year in the area of finances. Pray that He provides the financial resources needed to end the year in the black. In Communications, he oversees the printing of missionaries’ newsletters and prayer cards, ministry publications, and mailings. Notice the picture below: staff working on a mailing in our destroyed station space. In other words, he has a lot on his plate. Pray for workers to join in these areas of service, full-time and volunteers. |
