A man's heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps. Ps. 16:9

Dear Partner,

Spring has sprung! We're guessing that for most of us, we welcome this change in weather. And with Easter around the corner, much reminds us of new life not only in the natural world but also in the supernatural, as we reflect on Jesus' life, death, and resurrection.

Since our last update, we have received some clarifications as we transition from MissioSERVE Alliance in Port Richey to Pillar Missions and prepare for our move to Liberia. Our proposal has been approved by the board of directors, and we have completed several onboarding tasks. We have received the green light to continue with the onboarding process. We plan to visit their headquarters in New Jersey in mid-April to attend ministry orientation and undergo country-specific debriefing. Additionally, we are planning a trip to Liberia to meet people and explore locations before our final move.

Our specific ministry roles are not finalized yet, but we want to share a bit more about the ministry needs there. Pillar Missions is a 125-year-old organization and has been serving in Liberia since 1962. The ministry focuses on Christian Education, with the operation of three schools in the country. At Po River, where we plan to live, there is not only a school but also a medical clinic, a church, and a feeding center. Liberia is the ninth poorest country in the world, and despite being Africa’s first and oldest democracy, it faces many challenges after its last brutal civil war ended in 2003.

While medical, education, and other programs are good and right to do, ultimately, the hope for a future is not built on those things. Our hope comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ, and we long to be part of making disciples to that end.

PRAYER and ENCOURAGEMENT

As we navigate this season of transition in our ministry, we are reminded that God’s faithfulness endures beyond every change. “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:22–23). Even when plans shift and timelines stretch, we can trust that He is working all things for good (Romans 8:28), shaping our hearts and the ministry’s future according to His wise and loving purposes.

During times of waiting, let us lean into patient obedience and confident hope. “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14), and “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5). May this waiting refine our faith, deepen our dependence on prayer, and prepare us to serve from a firmer foundation when God opens the next door.

"A man's heart plans his ways, but the Lord directs his steps." (Proverbs 16:9)

At some point in our lifetime, you told us that you would like to follow our ministry. You told us that you would pray for us as we "GO ye......" and that you would rejoice with us as GOD moves in ways that will leave us all, in amazement at HIS greatness. Thank you for being part of our team!
