A man's heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps. Ps. 16:9
Wednesday, December 31, 2025
As we reflect on 2025, we are reminded that while seasons change, the Lord does not (Hebrews 13:8). Through challenges and adjustments, He strengthens our faith, refines our trust, and reaffirms that He is always at work - in us, through us, and ahead of us. Reminisce with us.

The year was 1992, and friendships began on Merritt Island, Florida.
These many years later, we were able to be together again. We talked, we prayed, we laughed, we cried (it moved me, Bob). How grateful we are that God brings people into our lives to share life and our identity in Christ as family.

God is faithful! We've been married for 30 years. By His Grace and for His glory we pray for many more.
Our whole family is together for Christmas.
Tory is commissioned to serve in Togo.
We are excited that you are our partners in life and ministry. Stay tuned for what God has in store for 2026! God promises to bring glory to His name!
Seasons of transition have a way of reminding us both of our weakness and of God’s unshakable faithfulness. As Debby and I navigate a period of significant change, we are comforted by the truth that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). Even as plans shift and responsibilities move in new directions, his character and promises remain steadfast.
Over the past few months, it has been evident that God has been at work in our ministry and in the lives of our team of supporters. Many of you have shared how clearly God has orchestrated the events in your lives—often in ways only He could arrange. What a gift it is to see His providence so clearly, both personally and corporately. We are learning again what it means to trust the Lord with each step, remembering that “the heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps” (Proverbs 16:9).
This sense of God’s leading has also been present at MissioSERVE Alliance. We have two significant updates to share with you.
First, to balance our budget and due to the low usage of our facilities, our board has decided to sell our property at 11744 La Madera Blvd. While this is a significant transition, we are grateful that the core of our ministry remains fully intact. Nearly all of our work—whether supporting churches, caring for missionaries, or equipping teams—is already conducted remotely or in partnership with local congregations, and will continue uninterrupted.
Second, we have been in ongoing conversations with several like-minded, church-centered mission agencies about the possibility of merging ministries. As a smaller organization, this would likely be more of an acquisition. These talks are still in the early stages and are tentative, with no guarantee that they will move forward. Yet the possibility of becoming stronger together—united in vision and mission—is an exciting one. We are praying for wisdom and clarity in each step.
In the midst of these organizational changes, God continues to give us great encouragement through His Word. Isaiah 43:19 has been especially meaningful: “Behold, I am doing a new thing… I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” None of these transitions has caught the Lord off guard. Instead, He is working through them to produce fruit, open doors, and refine our hearts. We desire to meet this new chapter with courage, humility, and joy in Christ.
Debby and I are deeply grateful for your prayers, your partnership, and your encouragement during this season. Paul’s words echo our own hearts: “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you… because of your partnership in the gospel” (Philippians 1:3–5). Your support strengthens us as we navigate logistical decisions, ministry adjustments, and the daily realities of change.
"A man plans his ways, but the Lord directs his steps." (Proverbs 16:9)
Prayers and Praises
That we would walk in wisdom and discernment (James 1:5).
That the right buyer will come along.
That our hearts would stay anchored in the peace of Christ (John 14:27).
That God would prepare the way for fruitful ministry in the season ahead (Colossians 1:9–10).
That we would rest in His presence even when the path feels unclear (Psalm 16:8).
That God would guide every detail of these organizational transitions and potential partnerships.
Thank you for standing with us. We remain confident that the Lord will continue to shape this journey for His glory and our good. We look forward to sharing more as God unfolds His plans in the months ahead.
