It has been a busy few weeks, and we wanted to update you on our comings and goings and invite you to be a part of what God is doing through us.                                     GOD'S GUIDING WORD Isaiah 30:21 has been on our hearts: “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” That assurance of God directing our footsteps has been real as we step into this new season. And alongside direction we’ve been reminded of the sustaining grace of 2 Corinthians 12:9: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Not only has God been guiding our path, He has been giving the strength we need for each step. NEW JERSEY & PILLAR MISSIONS As we shared in our last letter, we were in New Jersey visiting the ministry we will be serving with. It was a rich week reconnecting with our former Bible School classmate Robert and getting to know his wife Sarah. We enjoyed meeting other staff and board members and learning more about the history of Pillar Missions and its work in Liberia.  We also began learning what life and ministry in Liberia will look like. While our roles will be somewhat fluid, our primary responsibilities will include: Administrative oversight for three schools. Pastoral care and discipleship for staff at the Po River site (where we’ll live) Oversight of the Pillar Missions’ properties. Sarah and Robert Introducing Shyamala, Administrator of Pillar Missions. Please take a moment to praise God for providing leaders who desire to see the people of Liberia grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Pray that they do not grow weary in their work.                                            FELLOWSHIP & FUN Our missions director, Dave, and his wife, Maddalena, took us on a subway ride into New York City for the day. We spent our time exploring Times Square, enjoying hot dogs in Central Park, and appreciating the beautiful spring weather. We are incredibly grateful to have spent time with this wonderful couple. Please take a moment to pray and give thanks to God for them. It was a delightful experience and a fantastic addition to our bucket list.                                     REFRESHING IN CANADA After a short turnaround at home, we flew to Canada to spend a week with Debby’s mom and stepdad. We enjoyed long conversations over coffee and mate, shared our favorite foods, and watched some playoff hockey (even though my team didn’t win). It was a welcome break from the Florida weather. Bill helped Richard prepare the plane and sailboat for the summer season. Overall, it was a refreshing and rejuvenating time. Thank you, Richard and Sara, for a wonderful visit!
