A man's heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps. Ps. 16:9

Here in the United States, it is the week of Thanksgiving and as we pause to reflect, like so many of you, we have much to be thankful for.

It is hard to believe that we have been in Florida for almost four months already. We’d like to give you a quick update on what’s been going on with us in that time.

Mobility
First, regarding Bill’s hip replacement. He had his second hip replaced on September 20th and has healed very well from that. During our time looking for a surgeon here in Florida, the two that we met with both saw that Bill’s previous prosthetic was not the right size for him and it has slipped too far into his femur (which we actually knew before we left Paraguay), which has now caused that leg to be more than an inch shorter than the other. This is quite problematic as you can imagine. Tomorrow, he will once again have surgery to remove the old prosthetic and the proper-sized one put in. This is a much more invasive and complex surgery than a regular hip replacement and we covet your prayers for this. We are so thankful for health insurance and to have found a fantastic surgeon here in Florida.
Stability

Secondly, when we decided to come back to the States, one reason was to help our two middle sons especially, begin their lives back here in Florida. As we prayed and talked about what that would look like, we decided that buying a house would be the best way to begin that process. So, during Bill’s recovery from surgery, we began securing financing and looking at houses. It didn’t take us too long to find a small house that we liked, despite the interior being stuck in the 70s. It’s been very well-maintained and on November 5th we closed on the house. We are so thankful to God for allowing us to purchase this little home.

Joviality

We didn’t stick around to move in as we had a previous engagement in Virginia, namely being together as a family and seeing Bronia and Simon for the first time since being back. The daughter of very dear friends of ours was getting married and both Bronia and Simon were in the wedding. Even though the time was short, we are so incredibly thankful that we got to spend time together as a whole family before we went our separate ways again.

On our way back from Virginia, we stopped in North Carolina to see our former pastor and his family and had the privilege to share in their Wednesday evening service about our time in Paraguay. We were also able to have a question and answer time which we thoroughly enjoyed. We are grateful for every opportunity we have to share about taking the Gospel to the unreached.

Thanksgiving

And lastly, we are thankful for you, our faithful friends and supporters. We do not share with you often enough to tell you how much we appreciate your prayers and financial support, but please know how grateful we are for it.

We pray you can find many things this week to be thankful for, especially considering what Christ has done on our behalf, making a way for us to be reconciled to Him. Everything else pales in comparison to the gift of eternal salvation.

May we be bold to share about this wonderous gift.

“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”

At some point in our lifetime, you told us that you would like to follow our ministry. You told us that you would pray for us as we "GO ye......" and that you would rejoice with us as GOD moves in ways that will leave us all, in amazement at HIS greatness. Thank you for being part of our team!
